# Radev caretaker leverage ## What this driver is Radev caretaker leverage is one continuing Bulgarian mechanism: a presidency that prices executive power through repeated caretaker appointments during a 2021–26 parliamentary crisis, then converts that capital into a resignation and a Progressive Bulgaria majority premiership. It is a mechanism, not a ceremonial-flag brochure and not a Soviet-scope repression row. The driver is not Georgi Parvanov’s 2002–12 presidency as a second name on this page.
