# Iran executes musician Ali-Sina Mostafavi in Kerman

Iran executed Ali-Sina Mostafavi in Kerman on 14 October 2026. Rudaw identified him as a 38-year-old musician and professional mountaineer who had taken part in the January protests. Iran's judiciary said a Revolutionary Court had convicted him of moharebeh, or 'enmity against God', over armed attacks in Kerman during the war involving the United States and Israel, and that the Supreme Court upheld the death sentence before it was carried out. The judiciary also accused him of acting in support of exiled opposition figure Reza Pahlavi and of links to Israel; those accusations were not independently tested. The execution came in a year in which Iran Human Rights recorded 604 executions in the first nine months.
