# Anti-corruption remains central to EU integration

In its November 2025 report on Ukraine, the European Commission said that preserving an independent anti-corruption framework, including the National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU) and the Specialised Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAPO), and preventing backsliding remained essential to Ukraine's EU accession process.
