## The fact

On 8 August 2024 President Mohammed Shahabuddin administered the oath of office to [Muhammad Yunus](/people/muhammad-yunus) as chief adviser, with thirteen advisers, at Bangabhaban, three days after [Sheikh Hasina](/people/sheikh-hasina) fled to India. Student leaders sat in the council. Hasina is unresolved.
