# Cabello launched Con El Mazo Dando on state television

Date: 2014

[Cabello](/people/diosdado-cabello)'s weekly program Con El Mazo Dando began broadcasting in February 2014 and became a recurring state-television platform. Later UN findings documented his use of the program to publicize information supplied by community informants about opposition politicians and human-rights defenders, making the program part of the documented repression environment rather than merely a personal media project.
