[Gustavo Francisco Petro Urrego](/people/gustavo-petro) is a Colombian politician and economist who served as the 35th president of Colombia from 2022 to 2026. He founded and leads the political party Historic Pact (PH) and is considered the first, and so far only, left-wing president in the recent history of Colombia.
