# Germany approves Leopard 2 deliveries to Ukraine after delay

On 25 January 2023 the government approved Leopard 2 deliveries and re-export, after months of public hesitation while partners waited on Berlin. The decision is a completed arms-export act, distinct from the February 2022 speech.
