# Germany opens COVID-19 vaccination on the Union start date

On 27 December 2020 Germany opened COVID vaccination after EMA authorisation, in a coordinated Union start. Later coverage depended on supply and Länder logistics. Opening is a completed public-health act of her last weeks in the pandemic.
