# Eastern authorities endorsed Operation Dignity

As rival political authorities consolidated in eastern and western Libya, the House of Representatives camp endorsed Operation Dignity while the rival General National Congress was associated with Libya Dawn. The alignment converted an armed campaign into part of a broader system of competing political and military authority.
