# Corbyn suspended from Labour after equality watchdog report on antisemitism

On 29 October 2020 the Equality and Human Rights Commission found that Labour under [Jeremy Corbyn](/people/jeremy-corbyn) was responsible for unlawful harassment and discrimination in its handling of antisemitism complaints. Corbyn said the scale of the problem had been 'dramatically overstated' and was suspended from the party the same day.
