# European Commission launches Green Deal Industrial Plan for net-zero manufacturing

On 1 February 2023 the European Commission presented the Green Deal Industrial Plan to expand Europe's manufacturing capacity for net-zero technologies through a simpler regulatory framework, faster access to finance, skills and resilient supply chains. The plan announced the later Net-Zero Industry Act; this record does not misstate that later legislation as already enacted on the launch date.
