# Maltese EPP MEPs including Metsola declare they remain categorically against abortion

On 10 March 2015 [Metsola](/people/gov-roberta-metsola) and fellow Maltese EPP members stated they remained categorically against abortion. She later voted against texts treating abortion as a human right, including in 2020. As president she said her position would be the House’s. Votes are completed; they are not a Union abortion ban.
