In October 2020 [Metsola](/people/gov-roberta-metsola) tabled EPP amendments to a Parliament resolution on Bulgaria, widely read as shielding the then EPP government. The amendments were defeated. Tabling is a completed political act, not a finding that she ran Sofia.
