# Union adopts the Net-Zero Industry Act

Regulation (EU) 2024/1735 of 13 June 2024 sets a framework to scale net-zero technology manufacturing in the Union. It follows the 2023 Green Deal Industrial Plan. Permitting acceleration and benchmarks are the mechanisms, not a spending guarantee.
