# Council uses the European Peace Facility for lethal support to Ukraine

Date: 2022

From 28 February 2022 the Council, with [Borrell](/people/josep-borrell) as HR, authorised European Peace Facility assistance including lethal equipment for Ukraine. It is a completed CFSP financing act, not a factory.
