# France enacts the COVID health-pass law

Date: 2021

Law 2021-1040 of 5 August 2021 extended the health pass to many public venues and to some workers. The Council of State and the Constitutional Council allowed most of it. Mass protests followed. The instrument is a completed public-health restriction, distinct from the later immunization coverage gain.
