In 1927 the Gujarati and then English book of Gandhi’s autobiography, serialised from 1925 in Navajivan, was issued as The Story of My Experiments with Truth. It is a source, not a sworn affidavit for every later controversy.

## Context

An autobiography can increase access to a political method and can also control the file. Later editors and translators share labour.
