# Jury orders Giuliani to pay $148 million to Georgia election workers

On 15 December 2023 a federal jury in Washington ordered [Rudy Giuliani](/people/rudy-giuliani) to pay roughly $148 million to Ruby Freeman and her daughter Shaye Moss, two Georgia election workers he had falsely accused of fraud during the 2020 count. The award came after a four-day trial in which both women described the threats and harassment they received.
