# New York court suspends Rudy Giuliani's law license

On 24 June 2021 the Appellate Division of the [New York Supreme Court](/organizations/new-york-supreme-court) suspended [Rudy Giuliani](/people/rudy-giuliani)'s license to practise law. The court found uncontroverted evidence that he made demonstrably false and misleading statements to courts, lawmakers and the public while challenging the 2020 election result for [Donald Trump](/people/mig-donald-trump).
