# Greece raises the statutory minimum wage in 2023

On 1 April 2023 the statutory minimum wage rose again under a [Mitsotakis](/people/kyriakos-mitsotakis) cabinet schedule begun after 2019. A wage floor is a completed labour-market act, not a finding that real wages beat inflation in every month of 2022.
