# Fishing vessel Adriana wrecks off Pylos with hundreds dead or missing

Date: 2023

On 14 June 2023 a packed fishing boat capsized off Pylos. Hundreds died or remain missing. Survivors alleged a coastguard tow; the government denied a pushback. A wreck is a completed maritime disaster, not a courtroom finding of an ordered drowning.
