The Library of Congress has exhibited Gutenberg Bible material in its public Bibles exhibitions. This Fact stores that American public-access carrier, not a 1455 Washington press.

## Context

Three national libraries holding copies is not three inventions. Split BL, LOC, BnF so access geography is visible.

[Johannes Gutenberg](/people/johannes-gutenberg) is not the sole author of every later object, law, or museum label that uses the name. Shared work with courts, excavators, printers, spouses, officials, and later states does not erase a documented role, and it does not make an ancient person the signer of a twentieth-century statute.
