# Novissima Sinica prefatory work publicises Jesuit China reports under Leibniz’s editorship Date: 1697 ## The fact In 1697 Novissima Sinica appeared with Leibniz’s prefatory framing of recent Jesuit reports from China. The instrument is that editorial publicity, not the Bouvet binary letters as a twin and not a Qing statute. It is one event. ## Context Editing mission reports is shared authorship.
