## The fact

In November 1808 [Hegel](/people/georg-wilhelm-friedrich-hegel) became rector of the Ägidien-Gymnasium in Nuremberg, and from 1808 to 1816 taught and administered a Bavarian academic secondary school under Friedrich Immanuel Niethammer’s reform umbrella. It is not the Bamberg newspaper, not the 1812 Logic as a book, and not Heidelberg’s chair. Niethammer, a Württemberg friend in Bavarian office, placed him; Hegel still had to timetable boys.
