# Hungary adopts Act CLXXXIX of 2011, recentralising local government schools and health

On 21 December 2011 the [National Assembly](/organizations/national-assembly) adopted cardinal Act CLXXXIX of 2011 on local governments, pulling schools and health up to the state and shrinking county roles. The [Council of Europe](/organizations/council-of-europe) Congress later recorded the autonomy loss. This Fact is that dated municipal statute.
