# U.S. unseals criminal charges against Jho Low

Date: 2018

On 1 November 2018 the U.S. Justice Department unsealed an indictment in New York charging [Jho Low](/people/jho-low) and former Goldman Sachs banker Roger Ng with conspiring to launder billions of dollars taken from 1MDB and to bribe Malaysian and Abu Dhabi officials. The same day another former Goldman banker, Tim Leissner, was revealed to have pleaded guilty. Low denies wrongdoing and remains a fugitive.
