# Kósa becomes minister for the Modern Cities Programme

Date: 2017

From 2 October 2017 [Lajos Kósa](/people/lajos-kosa) served as minister without portfolio responsible for developing county-ranked cities under the Modern Cities Programme. His task was to steer the projects set out in the government's cooperation agreements with the cities and to coordinate and check the work of the ministries involved.
