On 14 September 2018 [Paul Manafort](/people/paul-manafort) pleaded guilty in federal court in Washington to one count of conspiracy against the United States and one count of conspiracy to obstruct justice. The charges concerned his unregistered lobbying for pro-Russian Ukrainian politicians and his efforts to tamper with witnesses while awaiting trial.
