# Nagy pledges to raise domestic ownership in key sectors

At his May 2022 parliamentary confirmation hearing, [Márton Nagy](/people/marton-nagy) said Hungary should further increase domestic ownership in sectors such as construction materials, insurance and food retail, aiming for Hungarian ownership above 50 percent. In retail he proposed strengthening domestically owned chains such as CBA and Coop, partly through market acquisitions.
