# Palkovics resigns as technology minister

Date: 2022

In November 2022 [László Palkovics](/people/laszlo-palkovics) resigned as Minister of Technology and Industry; his ministry was abolished and a new Energy Ministry under Csaba Lantos was created. Chief of staff [Gergely Gulyás](/people/gergely-gulyas) announced the change on 14 November, saying the abolished ministry's tasks would be split among other ministries and the energy ministry would start on 1 December.
