In 1948 [Picasso](/people/pablo-picasso) took part in communist-organised cultural peace-congress activity, a public alignment after the 1944 PCF card.

## Context

Three polarising papers — 1944 card, 1948 congress, 1953 [Stalin](/people/joseph-stalin) head — are not one temperament. Split them.

Pablo Picasso is not the sole author of every later object, law, or museum label that uses the name.
