# Tusk government eases some abortion-access rules short of legalisation

In 2024 the government issued health-ministry guidance to widen access inside the still-restrictive [Constitutional Tribunal](/organizations/constitutional-tribunal) regime, short of a statute legalising abortion. Guidance is a completed administrative act, not a repeal of the 2020 near-ban.
