# Nawrocki vetoes law easing onshore wind restrictions

President [Karol Nawrocki](/people/karol-nawrocki) vetoed legislation that would have relaxed rules for building onshore wind farms, including reducing the minimum distance between turbines and homes. The package also contained an extension of household electricity-price protections. Nawrocki objected to tying the measures together and said he supported extending the price freeze separately. The Tusk government argued that the veto delayed access to cheaper renewable electricity and harmed energy security.
