# New government inherits unfinished Pegasus spyware inquiries

In 2024 parliamentary and prosecutorial follow-up on PiS-era Pegasus use continued under [Tusk](/people/donald-tusk) without a completed public accounting of all targets. The inquiry is an oversight process, not a finding that his cabinet ran the spyware.
