[Raphael](/people/raphael)’s shop frescoed Leo I turning [Attila](/people/attila) from Rome, with Leo X’s features often read on the pope. The wall is a Medici-papal usable past, not a 452 gazette.

## Context

Later nationalist Vatican tours still use this wall as a founding rescue. That reception is part of the harm path of sacralised geopolitics.
