## The fact

Standard museum and companion literature records that [Raphael](/people/raphael)’s Roman workshop, at full stretch around 1515–20, produced stanze, tapestry cartoons, and panels with substantial assistant execution. This Fact stores that labour organisation, not a wage ledger with every name paid.

## Context

Workshop labour. Genius captions erase Penni and Giulio. Inequality is the brand-rent path.

Raphael is not the sole author of every later object, law, or museum label that uses the name. Shared work with courts, excavators, printers, spouses, officials, and later states does not erase a documented role, and it does not make an ancient person the signer of a twentieth-century statute.
