# Schmidt imposes election-law changes on election night

On 2 October 2022, as polls closed in Bosnia and Herzegovina's general election, High Representative [Christian Schmidt](/people/christian-schmidt) imposed changes to the election law and the Federation constitution meant to unblock government formation.
