# Parliament approves the RTVS-to-STVR public-broadcaster reconstruction

On 20 June 2024 Slovakia’s parliament approved the government’s revamp of public broadcaster RTVS: a new name, STVR; replacement of the director before term’s end; and a nine-member council appointed by the culture minister and parliament.
