# Stumpf's Constitutional Court term ends

[István Stumpf](/people/istvan-stumpf)'s term as a Constitutional Court judge ended on 22 July 2019 and he was not re-nominated. He had been elected by parliament in July 2010 for a nine-year mandate. Parliament later chose Tünde Handó, former head of the [National Office for the Judiciary](/organizations/national-judicial-office-hungary), to fill the vacant seat.
