# Treasury says Iran's petroleum ministry allocated oil to the armed forces under Paknejad

In the sanctions notice against [Paknejad](/people/mohsen-paknejad), the U.S. Treasury said Iran's Ministry of Petroleum had allocated billions of dollars' worth of oil to the armed forces, including the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps and Law Enforcement Forces. Treasury stated that roughly 200,000 barrels per day were being allocated to the armed forces to supplement their budget and projected larger allocations.
