# Ukraine sanctions and later closes several opposition-linked channels

In February 2021–2022, and then under martial law, several channels linked to opposition politician [Viktor Medvedchuk](/people/viktor-medvedchuk) were sanctioned and taken off air. Courts and NSDC decisions are the paper. Supporters cite Russian influence; the pluralism cost remains.
