# Ukraine restricts religious organisations linked to Russia

Date: 2023

In late 2023–2024 the Rada adopted and the president signed measures to restrict religious organisations with ties to Russia, aimed at the UOC (Moscow Patriarchate). Believers and some churches called it persecution. It is a completed statute, not a sermon.
