# US Treasury targets A7 network over Iran sanctions evasion

On 1 October 2026 the [US Treasury](/organizations/us-treasury) moved against the Russia-linked A7 network, saying parts of it helped move money in ways that evaded Iran sanctions. The action included designating it as a transnational criminal organisation and a proposed FinCEN rule on fund transfers involving A7 sub-agents.
