## The fact

By about 1905 work on Wardenclyffe had stopped. The laboratory building stood; the tower was unfinished as a working station. Tesla Science Center and Smithsonian independently describe financial collapse before completion.

## Context

Hotel mortgages come later. Do not convert a failed plant into proof that wireless power was physically demonstrated at city scale.
