# Prabowo Subianto ## The power he actually held Prabowo Subianto has been president of Indonesia since 20 October 2024. A president appoints Cabinet and commands the TNI. He does not write a Komnas HAM report, a Constitutional Court age-rule, or a Chinese SOE nickel smelter. As of August 2026 he remains in office. That limit is the first fact about his power.
