Children and Families Agency of Japan

Japan created the Children and Families Agency in 2023 to coordinate child welfare, abuse prevention, parenting support and policies addressing the falling birthrate. Its mandate tests whether centralization can overcome fragmented ministries and persistent demographic decline.
