OECD

The Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development is an intergovernmental organization headquartered in Paris, France, with a membership of mostly high-income economies. It produces economic research, statistics, and policy analysis, and provides a forum in which member governments compare experiences and develop shared standards and recommendations. In education, the OECD is widely known for the Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA), which measures the performance of students across participating countries, as well as related surveys and indicators such as Education at a Glance. Its findings inform policy debate internationally, while decisions on education policy remain with national and subnational governments.
