First, the 2022 certification. CNE recorded MPLA 3,209,429 votes (51.17 percent) and UNITA 43.95 percent, turnout 44.82 percent. UNITA rejected the return. The Constitutional Court dismissed the complaint on 8 September 2022. Adalberto Costa Júnior is unresolved.

Second, oil-family command. He removed Isabel from Sonangol on 15 November 2017. The Luanda freeze of 23 December 2019 is a court product. João Lourenço has been president of Angola since 26 September 2017. He remains commander. He does not write a Luanda Provincial Court order. He did dismiss the Sonangol chair.

The ballot file is official. CNE proclaimed MPLA 51.17 percent on 29 August 2022 (Reuters (opens in a new tab)). UNITA recorded a parallel count that put UNITA slightly ahead.
