In 1863, during the Polish uprising, the Dostoyevsky journal-world took a Russian-imperial line against the revolt. The censors’ ban is a separate demo row. Polarisation path: Poles as enemy in a thick journal. Medium confidence on any one unsigned sentence’s authorship; high on the magazine’s camp.

Context

Mixed: the same office also died under censorship. That does not rebate nationalist harm. Shared with Strakhov. Distinct from later Diary antisemitism, another minority-target.

Later competitions, monuments, translations, UNESCO listings, museums, and adaptations are not converted into extra lifetime acts.

Why it matters

Anti-Polish journal politics is a polarisation path of medium-to-high confidence and modest-to-moderate weight. It is not a unique 1863 atrocity table.

Confidence is stated on the impact path, not hidden in adjectives. Anti-Polish line is not the shutdown itself. Mixed effects of Public anti-Polish nationalist line in the 1863 uprising year are separate paths.

Established as received: 1863 imperial-national line in the Vremya world. Not established: a unique authorial byline on every sentence. Distinct from the ban as a censor’s act. 1863 uprising year, Vremya’s imperial camp, Strakhov’s piece in that camp, not the May ban as such. Shared responsibility is part of Public anti-Polish nationalist line in the 1863 uprising year. Naming Fyodor Dostoyevsky does not delete co-authors, institutions, or later transmitters. The lag from 1863-01-01 to any measured indicator is not treated as zero. Alternative explanations — weather, other armies, later statutes, or independent cultural change — remain live where the sources do not close them.

That reading is an impact-path choice, not a property stored on the Fact itself.
