Macé Bonhomme at Lyon issues Les Prophéties, a first book of rhymed quatrains grouped in centuries
Later retrofitting of Napoleon, Hitler, or 11 September 2001 is reception, refused as Facts. The 1550 almanacs are a different cheap genre. In the causal graph this event strengthens Political Polarization, a driver that weakens Having a say in government — a worsening welfare path.

Context
Cryptic quatrains are a public fate-office. Later retrofitting of Napoleon, Hitler, or 11 September 2001 is reception, refused as Facts. The 1550 almanacs are a different cheap genre.
Nostradamus’s documented role is bounded by other offices and collaborators named in the sources below.
The 1555 Lyon book contained a preface to César dated 1 March 1555 and a first instalment of quatrains (later counted as 353). Enlarged 1557/1558 printings and the 1568 omnibus are later carriers, not this act. Gallica’s public images are later copies after the 1568 line; they evidence the work, they are not 4 May 1555 type.
Why it matters
A printed centuries book is a polarisation path of high confidence on the 1555 publication, none on unique later-event coefficients.

What the sources establish
Britannica records publication in 1555 of Centuries: rhymed quatrains grouped in hundreds. BnF Gallica independently hosts later printed Prophéties in the public file.
Nostradamus did not file a later UNESCO form, a later Loeb colophon, or a later museum label as a personal act.
